PR Blimp

The PR Blimp project was started as an effort to establish Rowan Engineering’s name in the community. The blimp being designed and built by a team spanning several disciplines will be flown at various events by the request of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Anthony Lowman. Design considerations for this blimp include carrying and dropping a payload of 10 T-shirts and the ability to perform autonomous flight. Current work includes finalizing the CAD model of the gondola, developing methods to control the lift/propulsion motors of the blimp, and research into gasbag design and autonomous flight.

Meets every Sunday from 4pm-6pm in the Rowan Hall Atrium. See the Upcoming Events calendar for more info.
